In the course of this project, Future Engineering was designated as unique supplier for the electrical installation, as well as for the command and control system. Out teams of professionals designed and implemented a high quality system, able to insure the optimum functionality of the new hydroelectric power plant in the whole hydro power complex located in Novaci, Gorj County.

  • The implemented automation system fulfills the following functions:

    •       regulating the charging of every group at the optimum power, depending on the rated flow and prognosis;
    •       correlating the work of every component of the complex with the prognosis introduced beforehand;
    •       real time monitoring of the electro-mechanic parameters and alarm activation/report;
    •       automatic shut-down in case of failure or reaching the minimum water level in exploitation collectors;
    •       monitoring and real time control of all local and dispatch control center;
    •       automatic start when reaching exploitation level and return to the 20 kV line;
    •       recording generated energy and water consumption;
    •       generating complex reports and hydro energetic graphics;
    •       correlating the performance of the 2 plants of the hydroelectric system from Novaci no. 1;
    •       failure and alarm communication through SMS.

  • Works (parts of the project) finalized by the Future Engineering teams:

    •        designing a command and control system  for hydro aggregates;
    •        cabling synchronous generators and all AVR equipment;
    •        cabling hydraulic groups;
    •        supplying and cabling of sensors and transducers (temperature, pressure, position, valves and vanes);
    •        cabling electrical JT equipment – transformers;
    •        execution, supplying and cabling of all electrical and control cubicles;
    •        integration of Hydro Electric Plant Novaci 1 bis into Novaci 1-5 integrated system;
    •        installing the  level reading system for the collector basin built upstream (up-river) 2,5 km away;
    •        installing the electrical and telecommunication systems upstream;
    •        installing the flow measurement devices;
    •        installing the electric system for the micro hydro plant building;
    •        installing anautomatic transfer power switch system between Novaci 1 and Novaci 1 bis plants;
    •        programming all equipment, putting into function, software SCADA programming.

    •        Francis turbines – GUGLER;
    •        synchronous generators and AVRs – MARELLI MOTORI;
    •        hydraulics (HPU, pumps, valves, hoses) – HAINZL;
    •        command and control equipments – SIEMENS;
    •        electric equipment – automatic air circuit breakers, transformers, 20 kV stations- SIEMENS;
    •        sensors and transducers – TURK, ENDRESS-HAUSER;
    •        protection relays – WOODWARD.
